The Elie Sumeire family is originating from Trets, a provencal village located at the foot of the Sainte Victoire mountain, since the 13th century.
They are owning today three estates: Château Coussin Sainte Victoire in Trets acquired in 1903, Château l’Afrique in Cuers acquired in 1953, Château Maupague in Puyloubier acquired in 1991, and different domains, that represents a total of 300 ha of Côtes de Provence .
Those family vineyards, all planted with traditional provencal grape-varieties, are cultivated following a biological reconversion : any chemical weed killers, fertilizer or systemic product are never used.
